Imposter Syndrome is waiting for each and every one of you…

I had the honour of returning to my university to address 2019 Monash graduates as they prepare to take their first step as career professionals. In preparing to deliver such a monumental moment, I felt overwhelmingly undeserving. Cue Imposter Syndrome….

Imposter Syndrome, the feeling that we’ve tricked everybody into believing we can do what’s actually been asked of us and that it’s only a matter of time until they find out we’re frauds, comes for all of us.

However, as graduates look to enter industries that are forced to be more creative today than they were yesterday, there are three attributes that can conquer Imposter Syndrome — hustle, humility and heart.
